Atlanta Reunion

Two weeks ago, Mommy and Daddy and I flew to Atlanta for a few days to visit with their best friends from when they used to live there (before I was born).  We left on a Friday night after Mommy and Daddy worked, and then our flight was even delayed a little bit, so I got to stay up waaaayyy past bed time!  I was still pretty good, though!

When we got there Friday night, I fell asleep in the car and went straight to bed when we got to the house, so I got to meet everyone on Saturday morning.  There were 2 other babies there littler than me, baby Ellie and baby Brantley!   Saturday morning we all went to the pool together.  There was a big pool and a little pool, but we all stayed in the kiddie pool almost the whole time, even the grown-ups!

After that, we just spent the rest of the day Saturday hanging out at the house.  Saturday night, Mommy and all the other grown-up girls went out for the night while Daddy and the other guys stayed home with the kids.  Mommy, Julia, Erin, Emily, and Christina all went to graduate school together when they lived in Atlanta.

On Sunday morning, we played at the house some more and then went out to brunch.  It was a really nice day, so we decided to sit outside on the patio.   It was yummy and really fun, at least until Mommy decided to hold baby Brantley.  I didn't like that at all!  I'm not ready to share my mommy!

I wanted to try it, but Mommy said I'm too big!

On Sunday afternoon, I got sick after nap time. :(  We're not sure if I ate something funny or if I had a stomach bug because no one else got sick, but I was throwing up all afternoon and Monday morning.  I didn't get to go the aquarium which Mommy was really sad about, but on the plus side, I got to watch a LOT of Ariel and Elmo movies!

By Monday afternoon, I was feeling a whole lot better.  We even went back to the pool again Monday night, and I swam in the big pool with Mommy.  It was really fun!

I love kicking and splashing!
Tuesday morning, we got up early to go to the airport and flew back home.  Overall, it was a really fun trip, even though I got sick for part of it.  I can't wait to go on vacation with my new friends again!  Next year, they'll be big like me so we'll all be able to run around together!

In one and a half weeks, we're leaving to go on our BIG vacation!  It's going to be really really fun, and hopefully I won't get sick this time!

Hilton Head, SC

Last weekend, Mommy and Daddy and I went to a place called Hilton Head for Daddy's cousin's wedding.  That's in South Carolina, really close to Savannah where GiGi and Daideo live.  They were there, too, and so were Sean and Aunt Brennan.  It was a really fast and full weekend, but it was lots of fun!

We left really early on Friday morning and flew on 2 planes to get there.  I was very busy, but pretty good considering I got up at 5 in the morning!  I even slept through the second plane ride because I was so tired.  GiGi and Matey picked us up at the airport, and we went over to Matey's house to have some lunch and visit with her and Great-Grandaddy before we drove to Hilton Head for the weekend.

Here's a video of me playing with Matey, my great-grandma.  She has lots of fun toys!

After our quick visit with Matey and GG Daddy, it was time to go pick up Sean from school and drive to Hilton Head.  When we got there, we were pretty tired from all the traveling, so we just stayed at the condo and played with toys.  Sean and I had a blast chasing bubbles in the yard.  Check it out:

On Saturday, Sean left to spend the day and night with Matey, and Mommy, GiGi, and Brennan and I went to the beach for the morning.  I wasn't sure about the sand at first, so I kept my sandals on for a while, but then I got used to it!  GiGi brought a bucket and a shovel for me, and I had a blast filling the bucket up and then emptying it out over and over!  Mommy took me down to check out the water, but it was really cold, and I didn't like it at all!

So much fun!
You could see Tybee Island from the beach!
On Saturday night, we went to dinner after the wedding rehearsal with all of Daddy's family and some of the bride and groom's friends.  It was outside at this place called The Salty Dog Cafe, and there was a big deck with lots of stairs.  All I wanted to do was climb up and jump down the stairs over and over and over again, which made it kind of exhausting for Mommy and Daddy!  They had really yummy food, though, which was the only thing that got me off the stairs!

Taking a rest break from stair climbing with Daddy and Daideo.  It's exhausting!
Sunday morning, we got up and went to the hotel where they were having the wedding and went to the beach again with more of Daddy's family.  My cousin Ryleigh, who's only 1 month older than me, was there, too!

Time to help Aunt Brennan, too!

(we didn't really play with each other, just next to each other…)
After the beach, I was worn out, so I went back to the condo for a nap.  Then on Sunday night, it was time for the wedding.  Sean was back, so he came, too.  I made it through about half of the ceremony before I started to get restless and wanted to get down and play, so Mommy took me out and we walked around on the boardwalk.  Then when it was over, it was party time!  Sean and I didn't get to stay too long before we had to go back to the condo to go to sleep with a babysitter, but it was fun while it lasted!

On Monday morning, it was time to go back to the airport to take 2 more flights home.  The first plane we were supposed to take didn't work right, so we had to get off and change to another flight, but we made it!  I slept through the whole second plane ride again, which was almost 2 hours long!  I had a blast, but I can't wait to go back to Savannah and Tybee Island in July to see my family for longer and go to the beach again!

Easter 2014

I am loving holidays so much this year now that I am old enough to participate more!  I had lots of fun hunting and dyeing Easter eggs!

Posing at the church Easter egg hunt
First, the weekend before Easter there was an Easter egg hunt at Nana & Papa's church.  I went with Mama and Nana.  There were sooooo many kids there, and they were all having so much fun!  Before the hunt, there were games and crafts, including decorating cookies (yum!).  Then, we all went outside together.  They had 2 separate hunts, one for the bigger kids, and one for the little kids like me.  The Easter egg hunt was on the morning of Mama's friend Sara's wedding, which meant my Godparents were also in town, so after the hunt we got to go out to brunch with them.  What a fun day!
Trying the cookie I decorated with Mama…yummy!
I found a pretty painted egg!

Later that weekend, we also dyed some Easter eggs at home.  That's where you take the eggs and put them in colored water, and then when they come out, they're colored, too!  It was so much fun!  It was my very favorite part of Easter!
Colors all lined up and excited to get started!
Here we go...

Yay yellow!
Check out this video of me dyeing my first Easter eggs, too:

The next weekend was Easter.  I was supposed to go over to my friends' Molly and Charlotte's house the Saturday before for another Easter egg hunt, but I got sick with the stomach flu in the car on the way there.  I was still sick on Sunday, so we didn't get to go to church.  We opened my basket at home, and then I took a 3 1/2 hour nap in the afternoon.  I was feeling a little bit better after that, so we decided to go to Nana and Papa's house for Easter dinner.  I got to hunt a few eggs on the patio and even got 2 more Easter baskets from Nana & Papa and Great Grandpa & Grandma Killion.  Mama was happy that I at least got to wear my Easter dress and take a couple of family pictures!

Deanna Rose Playdate - Round 2

You might remember that last year, I told you about when I went to the Deanna Rose Farmstead with my friends Caleb, Shae, and August.  You can check it out here. We had fun, but 3 of us were still babies so we only got to look at the animals from our strollers.  Plus August got sort of grouchy, and I got really mad at Caleb for not letting me have his spoon, remember?  Well, we decided to check it out again today, and oh boy was it fun!
Me, Caleb, Shae, & August - Can you believe we're actually all looking at the camera???
The first animals we saw when we got there were some baby cows.  They were inside the barn in a little pen where we could reach in and pet them.  There were also some little baby goats in the barn, but my favorite things in the barn were the pretend horses that you could ride on.  There were 3 different sizes, and I tried them all!

I got to pet one while he was sleeping!

They were so little!

Then I traded up for the bigger one!
Next we went back outside and kept walking until we found a goat pen that we could go inside.  We were in there for a long time petting all the goats.  They were so silly!  They would try to chew on just about anything, especially jackets and shoelaces!
Saying hello to all the goats
There were so many of them!
They really liked Mommy's friend Amy's purse and shoelaces.
Hello, little goat!
When we finally finished playing with the goats, we kept walking, and we saw lots more animals.  There were pigs, horses, bigger goats, and lots of different kinds of birds (including my favorite, an owl!).  We also found a little garden playground and lots of big swings.  Caleb, August, Shae and I decided we had to try one out!
Time for a swing!
After the swing and a quick walk on the nature trail, it was time for lunch.  We went outside by the parking lot to some picnic tables and had our lunch right next to the playground.  As soon as we finished eating, it was time for another quick round of playing!

We had so much fun!  I can't wait to hang out with my friends again soon!
