Last weekend I went ice skating for the first time ever! Actually, I like to call it ice dancing. My favorite show is Sofia the First, and I saw an episode where Sofia takes an ice dancing class, so I decided that's what it's called. I wasn't quite as good at it as Sofia, but for my first time I did really well! Check it out!

Hi there! On Saturday, I turned 10 months old! I'm gonna be 1 year before you know it! My cousin James turned 1 year this month already. Mommy says it's definitely been the fastest year of her life! I've started moving around really well this month, which means that I pretty much don't hold still anymore and have spent the month getting into all kinds of things (most of which I'm not supposed to!). I've been hearing a lot of "uh-uh" and "no's."

What's New:
-I can crawl! Sometimes I crawl on my hands and knees, but on the wood floor at my house I usually do my "gorilla crawl" with 1 foot tucked underneath me instead because it's faster!
-I can wave bye bye.
-I can drink my milk from a sippy cup sometimes.
-I've started making a very skeptical face sometimes, especially if Mommy is holding me and I'm afraid she is going to pass me off to someone else.
Likes:
-Dancing (but I only have 1 move: the bobble head)
-I still LOVE clapping
-Playing with water (in the bath tub, in the pool, in the dog bowl...)
-I also still love playing peek-a-boo and "so big"
Hey everybody! On Wednesday, I turned 9 months old! The last month has been really crazy with my first Christmas, winter weather, a cold and a stomach bug, and lots and lots of traveling.

What's New:
-I still haven't quite figured out how to crawl, but I can get on all 4's from sitting, and I can scoot myself all around the room on my tummy going backwards and in circles.
-I'm also trying to pull myself up already and can get to my knees.
-I said my first word this month, "Mama," and my second word, "A-da," which means Dada. (Mommy wanted me to make it clear here that I said Mama first.)
-I can sign "more" and sometimes "all done."
-Mommy says I'm getting more opinionated, which means I yell at her and Daddy when I'm not getting what I want.
Likes:
-Eating! Some of my favs are bananas, Cheerios, macaroni, peaches, sweet potatoes, and pancakes.
-Getting into everything! If I can reach it or scoot to it on my tummy or my booty, it's mine! Mommy is worried about when I start crawling and cruising...
-Standing (with help) and bouncing/jumping
-Playing "peek-a-boo"

Hi everyone! I turned 8 months old yesterday, and I decided I'd better get on here and tell you what all I've been up to lately before we head out of town for Christmas in Georgia in a few days! It's been a super busy month for me getting ready for Christmas, learning to eat regular food, and trying to crawl!

What's New:
-I'm eating all table food.
-I'm trying really hard to crawl, but so far I can only scoot backwards and in circles on my tummy.
-I can clap.
-I can make all kinds of sounds now, including ba, da, ga, & ma. I get pretty loud sometimes!
-I can take toys and blocks out of containers. I'm not so good at putting them back yet...
Likes:
-Food! Now that I'm eating all table food, I'll eat pretty much anything! I start yelling as soon as my tray is empty.
-Banging toys together (It makes such a fun sound!)
-Talking & laughing, especially at my sister!
-Rocking from side to side constantly (when I'm sitting, standing, laying on my tummy, I'm always moving!)
Oh, I'm sorry Mama. Did you want me to stay on the blanket?

Here I am trying to crawl and scooting myself backwards. It makes me really mad sometimes! Especially when my cousin James is over and I see him crawling around. That really frustrates me!
So one of my very favorite things right now is ballet. I started taking a ballet class every Friday, and I LOVE it! I get to dance and be girly and dress up like princesses and fairy tale characters, and it's pretty much the best thing ever as far as I'm concerned! Anyway, since I love ballet so much, Mommy decided to take me to see The Nutcracker for the first time on Sunday. It's a ballet about a little girl named Clara who gets a toy nutcracker from her godfather, and it comes to life and takes her to a magical place called the Land of Sweets!

Nana and Aunt Hilary came, too, and so did some of my friends from church. It was called the Nutcracker Tea Party because there was a tea party before the show. We got to sit at fancy tables where we ate yummy treats and drank lemonade out of tea cups. During the tea party, some of the dancers from the show were walking around with their costumes on, and you could get your picture taken with them. I was a tiny bit nervous at first, but I got over it pretty quickly when I found a ballerina who was dressed like Princess Jasmine! When it was time for the show, all the kids got to sit on the floor up front by the stage so we could see everything really well while the grown-ups stayed at the tables. Mommy was worried that I would get scared, but I did a really great job!

Last Saturday Liam and James and I went to see Santa! He came to the Ceramic Cafe where I go sometimes to paint crafts. It was early in the morning at breakfast time, so we got to wear our Christmas jammies. First we ate a yummy breakfast.

Next we visited with Santa and took pictures. The boys both sat in his lap, but I was little bit nervous. I really liked talking to Santa, I just didn't want to sit in his lap. Instead, I stood beside his chair while the boys sat in his lap. I told him that I've been a really good big sister this year, and I would really like a Princess Sofia amulet for Christmas. He said he would write it down and tell his elves. I hope he remembers!
Liam went first. He really liked Santa!

After visiting with Santa, I got to paint a wreath ornament and make a clay handprint. The boys both made clay footprints, too. I can't wait until they're ready for us to pick up from the shop and put on our tree!
