This week I celebrated my very first Christmas. We spent Christmas at home this year because we went to Savannah to see Daddy's family for Thanksgiving, and then Mommy and Daddy said next year we'll switch. First on Christmas Eve, we went to church at night time! I got to wear a super pretty dress, and I had so much fun at the service! There were a lot of other kids there, and some of them were even singing during the service. Can't wait to sing like them at church when I get bigger! After we got home, Nana and Papa, Great Grandpa and Grandma, and Aunt Meredith and Uncle Chris all came over for dinner, but I went to bed pretty soon after they got there cause I was tired out from all the excitement at church!

I woke up super early on Christmas morning at 5:30. Guess I was just excited! When we went downstairs, there were more presents by the Christmas tree, and the stocking that Nana made for me was full, too! Santa brought me an exersaucer (that's this toy that you get to stand up in and it has lots of fun stuff to play with all around you). I got to open presents from Daideo and GiGi, too. They got me a swing I can use when it gets warmer outside, and GiGi made a special book all about my family. I love it! Mommy and Daddy opened some presents, too, and we spent the morning at home playing with our new stuff.

Then later in the afternoon after nap time, we went for a visit with Papa T's mommy, my Great Grandma Marcia, and then headed to Nana and Papa's for the night. Guess what?! Santa came to see me at Nana and Papa's house, too! My stocking was full again, and I got this awesome piano play gym that I love! I can lay on it and kick the piano with my feet so it plays music, and there are toys over my head for me to grab and play with, and it even has a mirror so I can check myself out the whole time! It's my favorite new toy so far!

After presents, Papa T read a story called The Polar Express. It's a really good story about a little boy who gets to go the North Pole to meet Santa on Christmas Eve. It's a tradition in my family for Papa to read it every year. It was a great first Christmas, and I can't wait to do it again next year!
Yesterday I turned 4 months old! It was also Killion family Christmas day (that's my Nana's family), so I got to go to a big party and celebrate with a whole bunch of family. Some of them were even more family that I hadn't met before. It was super fun! Can't wait until I'm big enough to run around and get into trouble like my cousins Knox and Riplee, who I got to meet there!
Four Month Stats
Weight: 15 lbs 5 oz (88th percentile)
Length: 25 3/4 in (96th percentile)
Head size: 17 in
Clothes size: 3-6 months
Diaper size: 2
Eye color: gray/blue with yellow centers
Four Month Habits
Eating: 5-6 oz bottle of breastmilk every 3-4 hours during the day, plus 1 tablespoon of rice cereal mixed with 1 oz milk in the morning and evening (I just started that this week!)
Sleeping:
Night-time - I was sleeping 8pm-5am through the night about a month ago, but I decided I missed Mommy and Daddy too much, so now I go to bed around 7-7:30 and wake up once or twice a night before getting up for the day around 7am.
Naps - I usually take 3 naps a day, around 9am, 12-1pm, and 3-4pm. Sometimes they are 45 min and sometimes 2 hours, depending on the day. I'm getting better at taking a longer nap in the morning.
Play/skills: I'm trying really hard to learn how to roll from my back to my tummy, but I haven't quite gotten it yet. I also like to sit up in my Bumbo seat for a little while, but I like it better when Mommy and Daddy help me sit up by myself. I can grab at toys by myself and hold them if you help put them in my hands, and yesterday I even picked up a rattle all by myself for the first time! I love to have books read to me now, especially books that rhyme and have bright colors. My favorites are Brown Bear, Brown Bear and Baby Colors, and I've also been reading The Night Before Christmas a lot lately!
Video of the Month
Check out this video of me eating my first bowl of cereal the other day! I wasn't a big fan at first, but I'm getting used to it now!
So I've been hearing a lot lately about this guy named Santa Claus. It started a few weeks ago when Nana brought me a new book to read (I LOVE having books read to me already!). The book is called The Night Before Christmas, and it's about Santa. He lives at the North Pole, but on December 24th every year, he loads up a sleigh full of toys and other goodies, and with the help of his 9 reindeer (those are sort of like my doggy but bigger and with antlers on their heads) flies to every little kid's house in the whole world to deliver them. At least, if you've been good he delivers them.

Anyway, it's a really good book, and after reading it for the first time, Nana and Mommy took me to meet Santa Clause! I got to sit on his lap for a few minutes, and I was calm and happy the whole time. Next year maybe I'll be able to tell him what I want for Christmas, but this year Mommy and Daddy told him for me. :) I'm excited to see what he brings me next week!
Nana made me my very own Christmas stocking!
On my Christmas stocking that Nana made for me, there's a picture of a baby with his mommy and daddy and some other visitors. That's because we actually celebrate Christmas because it's the birthday of this other guy named Jesus. I've been to church with Mommy and Daddy a few times, and I've heard my Aunt Hilary singing a song to me about how Jesus loves me, so I know a little bit about him already. I can't wait to learn more about him when I'm older. He sounds like a pretty cool dude!
A couple of weeks ago, I went on my first big road trip to Savannah, GA. That's where most of Daddy's family lives. We went for Thanksgiving, which is this big holiday where basically everyone eats a lot of food. I think it will be more fun for me next year when I get to try some turkey, too! I got to see Aunt Ninners, Uncle Sean, GiGi, and Daideo again. That's what I've decided to call my Savannah grandpa, pronounced Da-doe. It's Gaelic for grandfather. I also got to meet a whole bunch of other Hussey family!
We drove all night to get there, and I did great in the car! I slept in my car seat almost all the way there and only woke up when Mommy and Daddy stopped to get gas and for a little while in the morning when we were almost there. We got there on Wednesday morning and spent the day hanging out with Matey and Great-Grandaddy. Then on Wednesday night, we had a special dinner to celebrate Aunt Ninner's birthday!
Great-Grandaddy is so funny!

Thursday was Thanksgiving, and we went to Daddy's uncle Tom's house with the whole Hussey clan. I saw some family that I had already met before, like the Nalls and Uncle Michael and Aunt Joanie, but I also met a whole bunch of new people, including my cousin Ryleigh who is my size!

On Friday we went and hung out at the family beach house and I saw Tybee for the first time. It was windy, but pretty! Can't wait to see it again next summer when I can play in the water!
Then on Saturday Mommy, GiGi, Matey, and Sean and I went to the Westin on River Street in Savannah to see a bunch of Gingerbread houses that they have on display for Christmas. It was super fun!
Sean really liked the Gingerbread Candyland

It was a really fun trip! Mommy and Daddy said I did a great job with all the new people and excitement. I was so tired from it all that the night after we got home I went down for a nap at 5:40 and slept all the way until 5 the next morning. This Hussey family is fun but exhausting! Guess I better get used to it!
