My First Ballet Class

Last week I went to my very first ballet class, and I absolutely LOVED it!  It's at a place called A Fairy Tale Ballet that's really close to our house.  We can even walk there, but we didn't for my first day because it was raining outside.  My teacher's name is Ms Kirstie, and there are 5 other little girls in my class that are all 2 years old or 3 years old (like me!).  The mommies all come to the class, too, to watch and help.

First, we stretched.

Next, it was time to get up and start learning some ballet dance moves.

After we learned some new dance moves, we practiced them with music.  Then, it was time to read a fairytale.  This week's story was Peter Pan.

After the story, we got to put on costumes for our fairytale dances.  Since we read Peter Pan this week, guess what our costumes were!  Tinkerbell!

but it was still pretty exciting!

We danced to 3 songs from Peter Pan with our Tinkerbell costumes on.  My favorite was the Shadow song:

Ballet is so much fun!  And the best part is I get to go back every week!  I went again this morning, and it was even more fun than last week!
