Nashville Family Trip

A couple weeks ago, we went to Nashville to visit with GiGi, Daideo, Sean, and Brennan.  It was so much fun!  We left on a Thursday, and I was at Nana's house that day and had to wait allllll day until Mommy and Daddy got off work so we could go.  Then Brennan showed up at our house, too, so we all squeezed in Mommy's car and hit the road!  We had to stop and stay at a hotel for the night.  It was super late, and I was really excited and didn't want to go to sleep, but I finally did.

The next morning we drove the rest of the way and got there at lunch time.  We checked out the house we were staying in, ate some lunch, and then headed out to play some miniature golf before dinner.  I LOVED mini golf!  I was really good at it!  It's super easy if you just carry your ball, put it down right next to the hole, and then tap it in.  ;)

Practicing my swing
Taking a break and cheering for the rest of the fam
Reunited with my best buddy, Sean!
Sean is really good at golfing.
He was the only one who got a hole in one!
Daddy and Bubba watching
There were lots of cool bridges!
We found a sheltered hole to practice and take a break while it rained for a few minutes!
Daideo is so silly

Check out my skills:

After mini golf, we went back to the house for dinner.  Sean opened his birthday presents that we brought for him because he was about to turn 10 years old!  Then it was off to bed because we were all really tired from our big trip driving down.
Bedtime ready
On Saturday, we got up and went to the Adventure Science Center.  It's this awesome science museum where they have all kinds of different things to learn about.  They had a tower that you could climb up, and each level you learned about something new!  We learned about weather, music, transportation, space, all kinds of other cool stuff!
Driving a train with Daddy
Sean's turn to be the conductor
Daddy and Brennan went in this machine
that made a pretend hurricane.
It was really windy!
Playing with the water wall
Lifting a whole car using a lever!
Playing the giant guitar
Climbing across a net balance beam
So many cool things to play with!  Check these out, too!

Here I am using pulleys to lift and deploy (that's fancy for let go) a parachute:

And here I am playing a giant floor piano with my feet:

After the science museum, we loaded back up in the car and drove to a place called Lucky Ladd Farms.  First we had a picnic lunch before heading in.

Nap time in the car on the way to the farm
Aunt Brennan and Uncle Sean at lunch
Liam and Sean matched with their pumpkin pirate shirts!
Dancing with Sean while we were waiting
They had a petting zoo with tons of animals, pumpkins, and all kinds of games and fun things to do!  Sean and I had a BLAST!  Everyone else had fun, too, but not as much as us!  There were lots of people there since it was October and the weather was really nice, but there was lots of room for everyone to run around and have fun.  My favorite thing was picking out my own pumpkin to take home!
Petting the goats
I got to feed some of the animals, too.
Saying hi to the donkey with Brennan
Checking out the awesome playground
Climbing with Daideo
Trying out the tunnel slide.
I'm getting braver!
Driving a tractor just my size
Family time on the tire swing
Sean's favorite part was this giant bounce pad!
I was too scared of all the other kids to try it this time.
Sad because I really wanted to try the bounce pad after all the other kids got off,
but it was too late.  :(
Sean made me feel better, though!
Liam had lots of fun watching everyone.
Our best attempt at a picture of the whole family
Daddy with his sister and brother
I love my Uncle Sean so much!
Time to pick out a pumpkin to take home!
Waiting for everyone to be ready to go
Always so silly
Daddy shoulder ride with my perfect pumpkin
Saturday night we were worn out from our busy day!  We picked up pizza for dinner at the house, ate ice cream sundaes and sang for Sean's birthday (which he didn't really like!), and then went to bed early.

On Sunday morning, Daddy and Daideo went to play golf and Brennan went to visit some friends, so GiGi, Sean, Mommy, Liam, and I went to the zoo.  It was a really nice day again!  We walked a lot (well, Mommy and GiGi walked a lot while Sean, Liam, and I rode in strollers), saw some animals, played on an AWESOME giant playground, and had ice cream cones!
First stop: flamingos

Liam thought the animals were pretty cool
Sean liked the zebra
We got to go in and walk around with the kangaroos
They were so cute!
Standing in front of the monkeys
Super cool playground time! Sean was excited!
I got my second chance to bounce in this awesome
bouncy room just for little kids!
Sean loved climbing all around
He found another big tunnel slide.
Swinging together
Check me out, so big on the big kid swing!
Time for ice cream!
Mmmm chocolate!
Liam was sad that he was too little for ice cream.
Next time, Bubba!
Dirty shirts, full tummies, and happy smiles!
After the zoo, we went back home and relaxed until dinner time.  We cooked at home again and had yummy pasta and played on the porch.  Sean and I painted pictures together, and we took some family pictures because it was so pretty.
All the Hussey kids and grandkids together
We love Daideo!
Happy smiles because I love my family
GiGi and "my Sean" as I like to call him (I can share with GiGi)

When we woke up on Monday morning, it was time to get loaded up to head home.  We had one more stop to make before we hit the road, though, The Pancake Pantry!  Mommy and Daddy had been to Nashville before when Mommy went there to run in a race, and they discovered this yummy breakfast restaurant with all different delicious kinds of pancakes.  I had chocolate chip.  YUM!

One more kids and grandkids picture before loading up
Waiting for breakfast
Sean and I drew pictures while we waited.
Being silly again

After breakfast, it was time to say goodbye to GiGi and Daideo and Sean and pile back in the car to drive home.  Brennan came with us and stayed for a few days before getting on a plane to fly allllllll the way to Australia to start on her trip around the world!  We made one more stop on our drive home to see someone special...

Super Bubba!
Superman and Supergirl Hussey
She is SO cool.
It was a super fun trip!  I had so much fun going somewhere new and seeing all new things!  And it was really fun to have Daideo, GiGi, Sean, and Brennan with us, too!  I can't wait to do it again!
